I Wan Hup

Clinton is amazing us with his ever-growing vocabulary. He seems to be understanding that we absolutely do not respond to tantrums (often leaving the room) and has been working very hard at saying new words in order to communicate to us what he wants. His newest phrase is, "I wan hup"....which means, "I want to help". He says this most often when I'm using scissors or the chopper in the kitchen. He gets really upset when he doesn't get to "hup". But he's also figured out how ask for "hup" when his train tracks fall apart or he wants to watch a movie.

Another phrase he knows is, "Cheeeeeeeze!" Boy is he a ham for the camera!

Hamming it up as he poses with potato heads. After we put them all together, we talked about the daddy potato which made him respond with the "want" sign while saying "I wan dad!"; we talked about the mommy potato which enticed absolutely no response; and the baby potatoes which he responded to by signing baby and saying "bay-beeeee" and then he kissed each of the babies. My heart melted, with hopes that this is how he will respond to the new baby.

Another sign of how big our little boy is. We are out of the crib and in the big boy bed! Sniff, sniff. In fact, today we all three disassembled the crib and moved it into the new nursery. Clinton was glad to get it out of his room and was helping Rodney with every screw. They had to share the screwdriver and wrench. It was pretty stinkin' cute.

Here's the 35 week belly...I can't even believe we're rollin up on 36 weeks!! Baby Williams will be here soon!

Wishing everyone a great week!

He's such a little stinker. Can't wait for you to pop out that baby so I can start buying (girly) stuff.
