First Day of Preschool

Clinton started his first day of preschool today. Sniff, sniff. He was so excited about going, even if he didn't really realize where he was going. All morning I kept telling him that he was "Going to school today!". Once I handed him his lunch box, he kept running to the door saying, "Go! Go!"

I noticed my stomach wasn't feeling quite right on the way to school and kept crediting the pregnancy for the feelings. Not so. Turns out it was nerves. I didn't realize how nervous I would be about leaving him! I managed to get one picture of him in his classroom (just before he ran off without a concern of my whereabouts) before I had to dart out of the room as to not shed a tear in front of anyone!

Clinton did great. The teacher said he had a lot of fun and was really sweet with the other kids. Whew...because that's not always the case for our little man. However, Clinton did not want to nap. The other five boys laid on their cots and took their naps, but not Clinton. Needless to say, he was quite cranky the rest of the afternoon! And, yes, Clinton's class is 6 boys. It wasn't intentional it just worked out that way this year. I think it's better because Clinton is a little rough for the dainty girls!

The note the teacher sent home said, "Clinton had a great first day of school. He looked at books and played in the kitchen. He pushed the babies around in the stroller."

Mom! Don't forget to fix my hair!

Ok, I'm ready...Go, go!

On our walk to the classroom, Clinton got a little distracted by the indoor playroom...but still clinging tightly to his lunchbox!

The only picture I got of him in his classroom before he took off to play with the boys.

Oh yeah, mom. It was a good day...I'll definitely go back!
