My pediatrician assured me that the cold does not make kids sick...being cooped up indoors with everyone and their germs does. So, when my kids want to play outside...when it's cold...with no coats on...in the water, I just let them. I'm "cool" like that. If they're having fun and not messing up the house, I'm okay with a little extra laundry and chattering teeth. I have noticed that none of my friends ever ask me to keep their kids, though...
