Giving It Her All

Tuesday Heidi Sage and I went to Vanderbilt Hospital (a place that now feels like home after this summer!) and sat with some friends whose daughter was undergoing a cranial operation. Sweet Abby is just 2 weeks younger than Heidi Sage and has a twin sister, Norah. While Norah was at another dear friends home during the surgery, Heidi Sage came with me and was a perfect angel.

While she was awake, she offered some much needed comic relief during a stressful situation. While she was asleep, Rodney arrived and we were able to visit with our friends, Kevin and Tanya, as we waited for the call telling us their daughter's surgery was over....and more importantly, very successful! Praise God!

Here is a small video I caught of Heidi Sage on my phone. She's mentally ready to crawl, but her little body hasn't quite figured out just how to get it done. Mommy's definitely not ready! My saying-- a baby who stays in place, stays out of trouble....and I've got enough trouble with another little one who calls me mommy. In this video she crawled over to read a stranger's paper. After some discussion, the man and I discovered we were both from Texas...I guess Heidi Sage could hear her roots calling.

Thanking God for miracles (big and small),
