Your Prayerful Consideration is Appreciated

Tomorrow is election day. I remember four years ago hearing everyone talk about how that was the biggest election in history. I can't help but think that this one may trump it. With a possible end to the war, a fragile economy, major changes to healthcare, and a turbulent real estate market all at stake, I can't help but think we have an awful lot to consider in this election. I hope everyone has done their homework and is ready to vote, if you haven't already.

I'll be praying tonight for peace over the decision that I have come to based on the articles I've read, the debates I've listened to, and the research that I've done. I hope you, too, will be including prayer in your decision.

"Praise the name of God forever and ever,
for he has all wisdom and power.
He controls the course of world events;
he removes kings and sets up other kings.
He gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to the scholars."
Daniel 2:20-22

This verse has been a big part of my Bible study this fall and just happens to be the perfect verse for our group during this time. I keep saying it over and over trying to keep myself from worrying too much. I know all I can do is my small part and then it's out of my control...I have a higher power to trust in.

Voting prayerfully,

Thank you so much for this post; it is great. I think we all need to remember that no matter what happens today, we all have to live together tomorrow. I also hope people did their homework, and not just on the presidential candidates. Lastly, I hope we can all realize that things will not always be great no matter who is president; recession happens. Oh, please pray for the city of Chicago tonight.
