The other day Clinton and I went to Toys R Us to see if we could find him some birthday presents. While we didn't exactly find what we were looking for we came across this stick horse. Now Clinton loves to play with mops and brooms....any kind, anywhere....even in Target clutching to it throughout the whole store. So, anyway...I thought a stick horse was just what he needed. So I pulled the stick horse off the shelf and Clinton immediately reached out over the handle of the cart grasping for the black beauty. I handed it to him and he just started kicking his legs in excitement and putting his death grip on the stick....there was no removing it from his hands. So $8 later, we were in the car. There was an excessive amount of screaming for about 45 seconds as Clinton had to be separated from his new horse so that I could get him into his car seat. Once he was securely in place, I returned the horse to his loving arms. He hugged and petted the horse all the way home. He still loves it, but has a hard time playing with it because it's top heavy. When he lifts it above his head, the horse's head falls behind him and knocks him over. So sad...but kind of cute.
We've named the horse Ooh Ooh. This is because any time Clinton is excited about something he starts going, "Ooh, ooh, ooh." He always gets excited when he sees the horse so he always says it. I guess I like naming it that because it makes me feel like he's actually saying something....consistently. Otherwise, his words, while very clear, are extremely random, rarely repeated, and never on command!

i think he gets more adorable with each post.. i just can't believe that he is already a year old... it happens so fast..
Too funny...Tristan used to do the same thing when he wanted something. He would just point and say "ooh, ooh"...so funny how kids do the same thing. Only three more days to the big one. Any special plans?
He is adorable. I remember having a horse like this when I was little. Hope he has a great 1st birthday!
Good for people to know.
